Analog System Maintenance
First, check if the BNC connectors are soldered correctly. Check all the BNC connectors from the camera to the splitter, from the splitter to the digital video recorder (DVR), and from the splitter to the matrix. If the BNC is not soldered correctly during installation, it may break after a while. Also, check if the video cable has any breaks.
Next, check whether the power supply (12V or 24V) for the camera is normal. Also check whether the power supply for the DVR, distributor, and matrix is normal.
Third, use the swap method to check if the BNC ports of the DVR, distributor, and matrix are normal. That is, connect the jumper wire of a channel with an image to a channel without an image to see if the image appears. If the image does not appear, it indicates that there is a problem with that channel. Digital System Maintenance
First, check to see if the indicator light on the switch's LAN port is on.
Generally, there are three possible situations:
The light is flashing: the signal is normal.
If the light is on but not blinking: This means something is wrong with the camera. Please power off the camera for a while and then power it back on (this is most likely the case).
No light: Check that the RJ45 connector (including both the switch and the camera) is normal, the camera's power supply is normal (12V or 24V), and there are no breaks in the network cable.
Next, check if the DVR is working properly. Go into the system and see if you can find the IP address of the channel without an image (i.e. the address of the camera). If you can't, there may be a problem with the switch and the camera.
Third, reboot your network cameras, switches and DVRs. A reboot can fix most issues unless it's a hardware problem.
Fourth, if you are using fiber optic transmission, check that the fiber optic receivers at both ends are working properly.
